Kim Barns RN, BSN- High-Risk Disease Case Manager- Captive Health
Kim joins Captive Health as our high-risk disease case manager. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve their highest level of personal health. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from California State Long Beach & has worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. Prior to joining Captive Health, Kim brings a wealth of experience in the healthcare field having been in Labor & Delivery, Telehealth, Employee Health and Occupational Health. She received her Health and Life Coach certification in 2022. She also has other industry experience having worked as a Certified Montessori Teacher and co-owning a buffalo farm.
As a Case Manager at Captive Health, she provides education, guidance and management with ongoing health issues. In addition, she maintains communication between clients and their primary care provider to help to fill in any gaps in care and improve overall health.
In her personal time, she enjoys triathlon training, being active outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family.
